Mission Statement

To enhance the quality of life in our community by reducing wildfire risk with minimum impact fuels mitigation services

About The Owner

Melissa Brown

My passion for fire prevention and land preservation started at a young age. I grew up hiking with my grandparents and attended several girl scout mountain camps. It was a known rule that we shouldn't pick flowers because they were for everybody to see. Now, as an adult with three children, I still love being outdoors and exploring new places. I volunteer locally: collecting trash from the beach, removing invasive species from our river bottom or creating a community garden have consumed many days. The Thomas Fire of 2017 sparked my passions into a career. I attended Oxnard College where I received my AS in Fire Technology. I also graduated from Camarillo Wildland Fire Academy, became a certified EMT and have now worked 3 seasons as a wildland firefighter. Getting my boots on the ground was way more exciting than I could have imagined. Being tasked with preserving our national parks and other beautiful land was an honor. I'm currently attending school full time at CSUSM working toward my BS in Wildfire Science and Urban Interface and work full time for Western Fuels Management. I know my dedication to a fire safe community will show in my efforts to provide fuels mitigation services.
